Dear Parents and Students,

Calling all 5th grade students planning to attend Escalante next year!!  Escalante will be hosting three Zoom meetings THIS WEEK (May 13, 14, or 15) to discuss the transition and answer a host of questions.  For more information and details on how to link in, please click HERE

We want to take an opportunity to thank everyone who has turned in completed work into the return bin at the front entrance of Florida Mesa.   If you have work that you would like to turn in, please return it to the return bin Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm.  This is a separate bin from where you pick up weekly packets.  Please remember that teachers will need completed work in order to determine final grades for the year and you can turn in ANY completed work at any time.

Please remember that registration for the 20-21 school year is currently open.  Current families, new families, incoming kindergarten families, and preschool families ALL need to register for the upcoming school year.   Current families need to log into their Parent InfiniteCampus account to update records and confirm attendance for the 2020/21 school year. New families, including incoming kindergarten, can click HERE to register. Preschool registration is also open and can be accessed HERE.  Please complete your registration as soon as possible as it provides us with important information as we are planning for next year.

Over the next couple of weeks, our teachers may be adjusting their office hours and overall availability in order to provide themselves some blocks of time to close out the year at Florida Mesa.  In order to safely clean and close up their rooms for the year, teachers and staff will be following a restricted schedule so that we can maintain social distancing within the building.  Thank you for your understanding and I can tell you...they would much rather be teaching your students!

Watch for information from Mr. Snowberger in next week’s message about how to sign up the week of May 26th and beyond to turn in district materials (Chromebooks, library books, etc…) and to retrieve items that may have been left in the school prior to Spring Break.  This might be a good time to start rounding up library books!!

Have a fantastic week!

Sincerely,

Shannon Morris, Principal

Tony Roderick, Assistant Principal
