When parents, teachers, students and community members work together, student achievement, academic growth and attendance increases. Parent/Teacher conferences are a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher(s) and check in on your student’s progress. We hosted conferences on Monday, November 4th and will see more families on Monday, November 11th. We are planning for 100% participation, so please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have not scheduled a conference or missed your conference. We appreciate your participation and interest in your child’s academic progress.
Our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) has been actively fundraising throughout the fall. They organized the Butter Braid fundraiser and the fantastic Trick or Treat Bash. Thanks to all who participated in raising over $9,000 for Florida Mesa needs to include Guided Reading books and a water bottle filling station. We are very thankful for the support of our school community and are looking forward to adding these additional resources to our fantastic school. If you are interested in being a part of all of the action, please attend the next PTO Meeting on November 21st at 8:00am!
Florida Mesa’s School Accountability Committee (SAC) meets regularly to discuss student achievement, safety, academic supports, school and district initiatives, and other topics. It is a great way to learn more and dive deeper into the inner workings of public schools. We invite you to join us at our next meeting on December 4th at 8am. Bring a friend and learn together!! We hope to see you there!
