The district’s current Director of Exceptional Student Services recently announced her plans to leave the district and move her family to California. She was an integral element of the many great social-emotional supports and services we have been able to grow in our district to support students and families alike.
It has been an amazing five years as a Florida Mesa Mustang, and we have made some great strides in supporting our students’ academic and social-emotional needs, and I will miss working with the students and staff on a daily basis. I will continue to support all the school’s efforts and mission as I assume this new role.
I am equally thrilled to announce that our very own Assistant Principal, Shannon Morris, will assume the role as Principal at Florida Mesa, and will begin a search for a new Assistant Principal. Shannon has been an incredible member of the leadership team at our school and will inevitably continue all the excellent progress underway.
Thanks again for all you do to support your student and our staff, and I’ll always be a Mustang at heart. We look forward to a wonderful last week next week where we can celebrate another amazing school year.
