Dear Florida Mesa Families,

We expect that your student’s remote instructional experience will be remarkably different than what they experienced last school year.  This year, we all have more experience with distance learning, clearer expectations of the type of instruction being delivered, and more tools and training than we did in the spring when we pivoted to remote learning. Your student’s teachers will continue the learning and instruction that your child would have received if we were able to continue in person.

Please support these efforts by having your student engage in their learning from 7:30am-2:00pm M-F, as teachers are planning for full day instruction beginning Friday, October 13th.  Work should be returned to their teacher daily or within 2 days for full credit. Individual assignment grades and future report card scores will reflect work that is turned in and progress towards the grade level expectations and state standards.

We will need parents or students to "check in" on IC for attendance each day.  If your child is not checked in, they will be marked absent.  The links for directions on how to "check in" are below.

Your child’s teacher will reach out to you some time today to help you and your child become acquainted with the routines and great interactions you will have during remote instruction.

Thank you,

Shannon Morris, Principal
